Business Systems Analyst

Become a vital part of Marriott International's innovation journey as a Business Systems Analyst. In this role, you'll lead workgroups, collaborate with clients and IT organizations, and define creative solutions aligning with clients' strategies. Your expertise will drive technology roadmaps, enhance IT governance, and contribute significantly to Marriott's future business goals.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Facilitate business requirements analysis and functional design sessions, creating comprehensive documentation and presentations.
• Lead functional design demonstrations to stakeholders, ensuring validation of proposed approaches. - Identify creative solutions to business requirements, analyze alternatives, and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with external vendors and client organizations' business analysts to refine functional requirements. 
• Document functional, integration, and testing requirements, including SLAs and operating level agreements.
• Lead technology cost/resource estimates and provide input to business cases for IT initiatives.
• Update multi-year technology roadmaps, providing expertise in aligning technology solutions with business needs.
• Mentor and train team members and peers, sharing valuable insights and knowledge.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience with an undergraduate degree or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency in data projects and Agile methodology, demonstrating experience in data environments. Ability to convert business needs into technology requirements, managing product development effectively.
• Strong communication skills, facilitating requirements analysis and functional design working sessions.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in the information systems industry.
• Certified Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner preferred. - Familiarity with cloud data environments and data management/reporting functions. - Experience in business process re-engineering and IT cost/resource estimation.
