    Position type: Full-time


    Leads workgroups and functions as a technical expert, collaborating with client and IT organizations to define functional requirements and designs for innovative solutions aligning with client strategy. Conducts independent research to identify emerging solutions, updates technology roadmaps, and supports product development for the CEC Products organization.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Facilitates business requirements analysis and functional design sessions, creating presentations, communications, and documentation
    • Leads technology cost/resource estimates, inputting into business cases
    • Collaborates with external vendors and client organizations to identify creative solutions and alternatives
    • Documents functional, integration, and testing requirements, SLAs, and operating level agreements
    • Trains and mentors team members, ensuring a cohesive and engaged work environment
    • Provides expertise to training and field support groups before new releases go live
    • Identifies opportunities to enhance business partnership and planning processes




    • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation

    • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
    • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
    • Excellent written skills in English
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
    • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
    • Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills
      Experience collecting and assimilating information from various sources and organizing it effectively into coherent writing
      Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to coordinate, prioritize multiple tasks, and quickly adapt to changes
      Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams. Responsible and capable of working with minimal supervision to effectively achieve the goals stated above, but also to work well with others



    • Six years plus (6+) of technical writing experience working with software developers and other technical personnel to produce documentation for multiple audiences
    • Experience with Microsoft Office365 applications (esp Outlook, Word, SharePoint) Microsoft Teams collaboration platform
    • Ability to understand the architecture and various components of web platforms
    • Ability to read HTML, CSS, PHP, JS and understand the function of the code
    • Experience writing/reading API documentation
    • Experience with Atlassian, (Jira, Confluence)
    • Experience with Snagit, snipping tool and other content capture/creation tools


    Desirable training/certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, communications, or related discipline
    • CPTC certification
    • Effectively document and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical sub-unit audiences, including such items as the following:
    1. Web API documentation
    2. Process/flow charts
    3. Other duties as assigned

    • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
    • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
