    The Director, Communications & Change Management plays a pivotal role in the Global Business Communications Services (GBC) organization, focusing on executing communication and change plans for the Global Technology organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications & Change Management – Global Technology, this individual serves as a key communications resource for the Risk and Regulatory program.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Create and execute initiative and project-based communications, including executive messaging, organizational transformation communications, and proactive/reactive communication plans for Risk and Regulatory key initiatives.
    • Partner closely with the GBC team, discipline teams, corporate business partners, and enterprise communications functions to support strategic imperatives and business objectives.
    • Develop and deliver communications campaigns and support for Risk and Regulatory program teams, ensuring timely and consistent communication for key initiatives.
    • Support the development and execution of communications to internal and external audiences, including General Managers, Owners, Customer Groups, and Franchisees.
    • Design and drive the communication planning process, inventing related communication vehicles to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives.
    • Collaborate with communications and strategic partners across the company to execute key messaging through Marriott channels.



    • Associate degree with 10+ years' experience in business, sales, marketing, management operations, or related professional area; or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in communications or business, with 8+ years' experience.
    • Preferred: BS/BA (or equivalent) in Communications, Public Relations/Marketing, or a related field.
    • Experience in marketing, communications, and/or change management.
    • Hospitality/lodging industry experience.
    • Experience and knowledge in change management, business transformation, and organizational/process analysis principles and methodologies.
    • Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.

    • Lead communication efforts by identifying needs, designing strategy, and executing the communications plan.
    • Consult and advise key stakeholders within Global Technology and Risk and Regulatory teams.
    • Create, plan, and execute all aspects of the communications plan, ensuring consistency and relevance.
    • Develop and manage key messages related to Global Technology, working with subject matter experts.
    • Support and manage execution of large communication efforts and/or initiatives, setting priorities and measurable objectives.
    • Introduce leading-edge methods of disseminating messages throughout the organization, utilizing new technologies.
    • Develop targeted communications associated with disciplines, including organizational change communications.
    • Respond to and manage ad hoc requests.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders within Global Business Communications, Global Technology, and Consumer Operations.


    Managing Projects and Priorities:

    • Function as a strategic senior technical expert within the department.
    • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
    • Provide direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects.
    • Determine priorities, schedules, plans, and necessary resources to promote completion of projects on schedule.
    • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
    • Review vendor proposals and select appropriate vendors against project and/or budget needs.
    • Think creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new project plans.
    • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the quality of operations.
