    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-time

     

    Join our Corporate Financial Accounting team as the ESG Accounting and Controls Director. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and implementing processes and controls for ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with internal control standards, U.S. GAAP, and international reporting requirements. Collaborate with various teams to capture accurate ESG data for SEC filings, international statutory reporting, and ESG reports, fostering cross-functional collaboration.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Develop strong relationships with Global Finance, HR, Engineering, Continent, Legal, and other stakeholders.
    • Gain expertise in risk and controls, ESG SEC and international statutory reporting rules, including IT general controls (ITGC) and system development lifecycle controls (SDLC).
    • Partner with teams to design and implement ESG reporting processes and controls for accurate data capture.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation (narratives, flow charts, risk & control matrices) over ESG data processes.
    • Ensure effective communication and execution of established processes to impacted teams.
    • Collaborate with Internal Audit on process walkthroughs and assist in remediation efforts.
    • Demonstrate a passion for learning new and emerging ESG reporting frameworks.
    • Maintain industry expertise, communicate technical knowledge effectively in non-technical language.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 7 years' experience, with a blend of Audit, preferably in both Public Accounting and Industry Exposure.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; excellent PC skills.
    • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls, and COSO internal control framework.
    • Initiative, personal responsibility, and integrity.
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement resolutions.
    • Building and maintaining key relationships, coordinating with other departments.
    • Customer-service oriented perspective, effective listener.

     

    Competencies:

    • Proven ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships.
    • In-depth understanding of risk and controls, ESG SEC, and international statutory reporting rules.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Initiative and proactive problem-solving approach.
    • Customer-service oriented perspective.

     

    Education and Professional Certification:

    • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting/Finance major preferred).
    • CPA a plus.
