    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE: This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    The Director of HR Contracts & Governance plays a critical role in managing all aspects of contractual agreements with Third Party Service Providers for Marriott's Human Resources department. They develop, implement, and enhance contracting processes and tools, ensuring compliance and fostering effective vendor management.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Develop and maintain standard HR contracting processes and tools.
    • Monitor adherence to HR Standards by Marriott and service providers.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve process quality continuously.
    • Provide guidance and work direction to contract managers or administrators.
    • Lead negotiations and implement contract and risk management considerations.
    • Oversee the competitive bidding process, including RFIs and RFPs.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and manage contractual issues.
    • Establish and maintain governance tools, systems, processes, and procedures for key HR vendor relationships.
    • Manage the execution of key HR vendor contracts to ensure compliance.
    • Lead issue resolution and coordinate with inter-dependent vendors and internal departments.
    • Verify proposals against contractual terms and conditions and facilitate commercial optimization.
    • Serve as an escalation point for billing issues/disputes and lead contract negotiations.
    • Implement audit controls for Service Provider processes and invoices.
    • Interpret contracts and initiate resulting consequences.
    • Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions and manage service provider exit.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 9+ years' contract management or similar vendor relations/sourcing experience.
    • JD, MBA, or related graduate degree required; BA/BS required.
    • Minimum six years of experience in strategic sourcing and negotiating large/complex technology deals.
    • Extensive experience negotiating various agreements including SaaS/ASP, Cloud, and Hosting.
    • Contract Management Certification preferred.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Working knowledge of current HR technologies across a wide variety of areas.
    • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
