    The Director, Visual Experience Designer is a pivotal member of the Experience Design & Innovation team, spearheading the development of innovative travel and hospitality experiences. This role is focused on crafting visually captivating concepts that align with business strategies and resonate with customers, driving growth for Marriott International through the intersection of desirability, viability, and feasibility.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Translate human-centered ideas into visually compelling concepts and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new concepts and guest experiences, incorporating digital, physical, and service elements.
    • Advocate for customer-centric design principles and use storytelling to share discoveries and influence business partners.
    • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft tools to design across multiple mediums and execute visual concepts.
    • Simplify complex ideas into visually compelling designs, including experience maps, customer journey maps, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes.
    • Drive experiments, iterate quickly, and push design conventions to create exceptional consumer-facing brand experiences.
    • Distill key insights into design principles and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
    • Balance multiple complex projects, demonstrating exceptional organizational and time management skills.



    • 8+ years of experience in innovation, visual design, customer experience design, or related fields, with a demonstrated pattern of exceptional performance.
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in graphic, interaction, communication, media design, or related field.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing design process and contributions to projects.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Ability to design across multiple mediums and execute visual concepts, with excellent typographic and design skills.
    • Exceptional ability to simplify complex ideas into visually compelling designs and communicate them persuasively.
    • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving experiments and pushing design boundaries.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt presentation style based on the audience.



    • Superior design skills demonstrated through an outstanding portfolio.
    • Self-motivated, ambitious, and professional work attitude.
    • Ability to think conceptually and balance multiple complex projects.
    • Detail-oriented and solution-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills.
    • Adaptable in work style and presentation to meet the needs of key stakeholders.
    • Willingness to perform other reasonable duties as required for the position.
