    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    The FLEX Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Operations is part of the Global Operations (GO) department, which is known for taking ideas into implementation across all brands, disciplines, and continents and will report to the Senior Director, F&B Innovation. This role will provide planning and support for key strategic initiatives in Food & Beverage (F+B): including discipline workshops development, planning and execution, and project management for the Global Restaurant & Bar (R+B) concept library, including development, documentation, coordination, and integration with brand initiatives.

     

    The FLEX Manager, Food & Beverage Operations, in partnership with a broad group of internal and external stakeholders, provides creativity, discipline expertise and connectivity, developing and maintaining the best-in-class food and beverage concepts, programs, tools and training resources.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Manages and compiles work related to the Concept Library project, is the liaison with designers and vendors to gather input and assets and coordinates project timeline and activities
    • Collates contents for the documentation, filters and directs to the project team and contributors
    • Research trends and competition, identifying industry trends, competitive situations and opportunities that are relevant to existing and future restaurants and bar projects
    • Edit concept briefs, confirm appropriate, illustrative imagery, and creates mood boards and other materials to support concept development exercises. Maintaining a log of licenses of assets
    • Documents the project and maintains communication decks, schedules meetings, and provides updates
    • Partners with disciplines, peers, and continent teams to create and maintain a bank of compelling, cutting edge R+B concepts (scalable and packaged)
    • Conducts research and analysis pertinent to the development of the project(s) assigned
    • Tracks progress of work and provides updates to stakeholders on progress of design and development activities
    • Collaborates with team members on continent-driven projects
    • Creates supporting documentation for programs
    • Utilizes word processing, Desktop Publishing Tools, On-Line Interactive training software to create presentations, to implement documentation, to develop communications, and to support projects

     

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of Operations experience in bar and restaurant industry or related area
    • 4-year bachelor's degree in business administration, Program Management, Hospitality, Culinary Science , or other related area
    • Experience and solid understanding of hotel operations
    • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills
    • Working knowledge of one or more of the following: InDesign, Photoshop, Articulate Storyline, photography, or videography
