    Contributes to and maintains security strategies, requirements, and standards for applications and platforms. Provides in-depth Technical Security guidance as the Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various technologies and project areas. Ensures adherence to company security policies, standards, and industry norms throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Provide expert guidance on security strategies and standards for applications and platforms.
    • Serve as the Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various technologies and project areas.
    • Ensure communication of company security policies and standards to program teams during the SDLC process.
    • Identify gaps in security measures and collaborate with project teams to enhance security without compromising time to market, functionality, or scalability.
    • Review and approve Security Accreditation tasks at each phase of the SDLC.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for addressing security issues and risks.
    • Possess comprehensive knowledge in Security areas such as Cloud Computing, Application Security, IAM, Cryptography, Infrastructure Security, and Risk Management.



    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience/certification.
    • 7+ years of overall Information Technology experience with a focus on security engineering.
    • 5+ years of experience in three or more of the following areas:Conducting security reviews and risk assessments
    • Performing security accreditations
    • Developing security architectures and strategies
    • Creating Enterprise security patterns
    • Collaborating with development and vendor teams to implement compensating controls
    • Experience in reviewing and developing Security Architectures, identifying security risks/gaps, and implementing mitigation strategies.
    • Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure including Applications, Databases, Operating systems (Windows, Unix, and Linux), IP networks (WAN and LAN), Backup networks, and Containers/Kubernetes.
    • Familiarity with Cryptography and current cryptographic standards, vulnerability management tools, and the OWASP Top 10.



    • Strong working knowledge of IT service management disciplines (e.g., ITIL-related practices).
    • Ability to provide Security Requirements for various areas including Cloud Computing, Application Development, IAM, Cryptography, and Infrastructure design.
    • Proficiency in understanding complex integrated solutions and ensuring security between systems.
    • Experience in developing Enterprise Security Strategies and conducting threat-modeling exercises.
    • Familiarity with deployment of applications and infrastructure into internal, hybrid, and public cloud services.
    • Capability to conduct independent research, excellent documentation, and written communication skills for diverse audiences.


    Core Work Activities:

    • Contribute to, evaluate, and support documentation, validation processes, and compliance with organizational information assurance, security, and privacy requirements.
    • Define security strategy, provide guidance, establish standards and guidelines, and review architectural designs to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
    • Conduct security and privacy technology research, assessments, and integration processes.
    • Consult with customers to gather functional requirements and provide security and privacy recommendations.
    • Provide advice and recommendations on relevant topics within the domain of security.
    • Monitor project activities and oversee the Security Engagement Process in collaboration with Security Architect Analysts.


    Managing Projects and Priorities:

    • Function as a strategic senior technical expert, setting goals, and plans to organize and prioritize work.
    • Make and execute decisions to progress towards achievement of goals.
    • Provide direction and assistance to teams, determining priorities, schedules, plans, and necessary resources for projects.
    • Analyze information, evaluate results, and solve problems creatively and practically.
    • Review vendor proposals and select appropriate vendors for services/technologies/hardware.
    • Deliver accurate and timely results in various formats such as reports and presentations.
    • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the quality of operations.


    Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders:

    • Understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders, effectively communicating concepts and understanding business priorities.
    • Support achievement of performance goals, budget goals, and team objectives.


    Providing Technical Support and Consultation:

    • Offer technical expertise and leadership within teams.
    • Provide recommendations to enhance process and program effectiveness.
    • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and procedures.
    • Keep abreast of technical advancements and apply new knowledge to the job effectively.
    • Foresee, identify, and resolve problems proactively.
    • Perform other reasonable duties as required for the position.
