    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    The Flex Manager, Transitions, will oversee the smooth execution of transitioning hotels across Marriott International brands in the Americas, focusing on Hotel Terminations and Re-Licensings. This role collaborates with key stakeholders and hotel teams to ensure seamless transitions.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Provide remote support through various platforms (email, webinars, Microsoft Teams) to hotels undergoing management changes.
    • Facilitate the transition and/or creation of SFAWeb licenses.
    • Coordinate with Marriott’s Global Sales for proper transition steps.
    • Audit user access for business applications and facilitate access removal/registration.
    • Review and enforce process standards and accountability with management companies.
    • Coordinate training and facilitate sessions on transition processes and Marriott systems.
    • Manage transition of hotel’s Merchant IDs with Credit Card Ops team.
    • Conduct introduction calls and coordinate communication regarding the Management Transition Support program.
    • Review Land-it system functionality and provide recommendations.
    • Complete program reviews and implement enhancements.
    • Coordinate training needs for incoming management companies.
    • Communicate program enhancements to stakeholders.
    • Create and update collateral for the support program.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Strong negotiation and issue resolution skills.
    • Proficient in project and process management.
    • Excellent relationship-building abilities with owners.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Marriott systems and brand standards.
    • Understanding of pricing, yield management, and Quality Assurance.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to manage upward and influence change.
    • Strong hotel/market experience, preferably with Marriott.

    Candidate Profile:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Approximately 40% travel required
    • 5 years of Hotel Operations experience, with room operations preferred
    • Preferred location: Marriott Corporate Headquarters
