    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    Join Marriott's Data Platform team as a Senior Software Engineer to drive the development of next-generation data products. This role requires expertise in Snowflake applications, SQL, Python Airflow DAG, and AWS deployment. As a technical leader, you'll set standards, lead technical resources, and research emerging technologies to advance Marriott's data capabilities.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Lead engineering efforts for next-generation data protection capabilities and products.
    • Set technical standards and develop reusable frameworks for efficient data product creation.
    • Assume technical ownership of Service Provider deliverables, ensuring high quality and scalability.
    • Research emerging technologies and provide solutions for complex technical issues.
    • Collaborate with multiple teams to steer projects from inception to successful delivery.
    • Train and mentor team members and peers as appropriate.
    • Provide financial input on department or project budgets and cost/resource estimates.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery processes.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing large-scale Snowflake applications.
    • Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, Python Airflow DAG, and Data Pipelines.
    • Technical delivery ownership experience of large-scale enterprise applications.
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS deployment.
    • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead technical resources.
    • Experience in agile software methodologies.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
