    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    Join Marriott International as a Senior Manager, User Experience & Design, to create best-in-class digital experiences. This role focuses on designing commerce-focused web products that balance revenue conversion and emotional engagement, collaborating closely with product management and technology teams.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Design and deliver innovative digital commerce experiences.
    • Produce sketches, wireframes, personas, journey maps, and prototypes.
    • Provide direction to internal and external designers.
    • Collaborate with the Director of User Experience and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure quality experience through user acceptance testing.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and apply new knowledge.
    • Utilize tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InVision Studio.
    • Present work with clear communication, supporting decisions with data.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of relevant experience in digital product design.
    • 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
    • Expertise in interaction design and visual design.
    • Strong grounding in usability and transactional design best practices.
    • Experience with large-scale digital products in the commerce space.
    • Proven experience with commerce checkout processes and search optimization.
    • Ability to deliver across platforms (desktop, mobile web, app).

    • Champion conversion techniques while ensuring an elevated user experience.
    • Promote UX best practices from various disciplines.
    • Communicate effectively through compelling visuals and deliverables.
    • Demonstrate leadership, energy, and enthusiasm in team settings.
    • Showcase strong presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

     

    Nice to Have:

    • Expertise in digital products within the hospitality or travel industry.
    • Experience with search best practices within e-commerce platforms.
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with Agile/SAFE development methodologies.

     

    Core Work Activities:

    • Produce and communicate experience design through various deliverables.
    • Provide subject matter expertise on key functional systems and strategic initiatives.
    • Ensure Marriott brand and loyalty program integration in digital products.
    • Reference and contribute to the Design System Manager for patterns and styles.
    • Ensure a quality user experience through testing and feedback.
    • Stay current with industry trends to identify strategic opportunities.
    • Collaborate with various user experience disciplines to advance work.

     

    Managing Work, Projects, and Policies:

    • Provide accurate time estimates for project planning.
    • Meet deadlines and report any impediments.
    • Regularly update the manager on status and progress.
    • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
    • Accept and provide constructive critique.
    • Communicate effectively with teammates.

     

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Develop relationships with other teams for collaboration.
    • Present work clearly and confidently.
    • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager.
