    The Senior Director, Advisory Services, plays a crucial role in the Global Innovation Experience Design organization, focusing on Revenue, Technology, and Customer Group strategies, with a special emphasis on Marriott Strategy Map initiatives. This position advises the broader organization on complex platforms and projects, contributing to strategic execution.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Advise on Marriott Strategy Map initiatives and provide advisory services on complex platforms and projects.
    • Act as an Advisor and/or Project Leader on major initiatives to enhance personalization, drive customer loyalty, and strengthen partnerships and emerging businesses.
    • Manage complex stakeholder interactions and multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Provide strategic initiative leadership while ensuring effective advisory services.



    • 10+ years of experience in strategy development, brand management, marketing strategy, or product management.
    • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major, or 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
    • Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under challenging conditions and ambiguity.
    • MBA or equivalent preferred.
    • Lodging/hospitality industry experience preferred.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

    • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions.
    • Effective project management with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
    • Resilience and willingness to take on challenging projects and initiatives.
    • Strategic mindset with a focus on execution.

    Managing Projects and Priorities:

    • Functions as a strategic senior technical expert within the department.
    • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
    • Champions leaders' vision for product and service delivery.
    • Makes and executes necessary decisions to achieve goals.
    • Provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects.
    • Analyzes information, evaluates results, and chooses the best solution to solve problems.
    • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the quality of operations.


    Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders:

    • Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders.
    • Communicates concepts clearly and persuasively.
    • Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities.
    • Supports achievement of performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.


    Providing Technical Support and Consultation:

    • Provides technical expertise and leadership within own and other teams.
    • Offers recommendations to improve the effectiveness of processes and programs.
    • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
    • Foresees, identifies, and resolves problems.
    • Keeps up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to the job.
    • Performs other reasonable duties as required for this position.
