    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    The Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer leads enterprise-wide server image hardening efforts, utilizing expertise in DevOps, systems engineering, and security standards compliance. This role involves designing, engineering, and automating operating system hardening for Windows and Linux environments across on-premises and public cloud infrastructure. Additionally, the position involves evaluating and improving existing processes, ensuring compliance with CIS benchmarks and organizational standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive execution.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Lead enterprise server image hardening efforts globally, focusing on Windows and Linux environments.
    • Design, engineer, and automate operating system hardening and image creation processes.
    • Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
    • Develop and execute testing requirements for hardening automation against the application portfolio.
    • Produce governance around hardening efforts, including documenting variances, developing POA&Ms, and setting meeting cadences with relevant teams.
    • Communicate updates and findings to managers, peers, and stakeholders within Infrastructure and Global Information Security teams.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in information technology application development, DevOps automation, or systems engineering.
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education, certifications, and experience.
    • Extensive experience with CIS or similar hardening standards and active participation in patch management processes.
    • Proficiency in scripting using Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
    • Experience designing, managing, and hardening Active Directory group policies.
    • Familiarity with RedHat Linux, Amazon Linux, and Windows Server environments.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.

    • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels.
    • Strong analytical skills for evaluating and improving processes.
    • Adaptability to evolving technology landscapes and security threats.
    • Effective communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
