    As a crucial member of the Global Portfolio Marketing Team, the Senior Marketing Manager plays a vital role in supporting all facets of portfolio marketing strategies, including creative development, messaging, partnerships, and experiential activation. Collaborating with brand management and other functional teams, this role champions marketing activities, public relations, and digital initiatives at every touchpoint, fostering associate engagement and enhancing communication within the owner/franchisee community to drive strategic imperatives and marketing Must Win Battles.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Support global portfolio marketing Must Win Battles, strategies, plans, and measurement for company strategic imperatives.
    • Lead cross-functional teams on custom strategic initiatives and partnerships to position Marriott Bonvoy in the cultural conversation and amplify paid media efforts.
    • Execute the media strategy (paid, owned, earned) in collaboration with creative, PR, and media agencies.
    • Develop, create, and measure the impact of portfolio marketing, covering brand voice, activation guidelines, messaging, advertising, photography, brand integration, public relations, brand experience partnerships, experiential marketing, events, website development, promotions, marketing innovation, regional pull-through strategies, and tool content development.
    • Deliver high-impact communications for portfolio marketing plans and updates to HQ senior leaders, marketing departments, regional teams, franchisees, and hotel general managers.
    • Stay informed about the core target customer, bringing the latest marketing insights and innovations into the organization to inform and shape portfolio marketing plans.
    • Lead quarterly competitive advertising assessments with creative agency partners.



    • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related major from an accredited university.
    • 6+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative agency, and/or partnerships, demonstrating progressive career growth and exceptional performance.
    • OR 8+ years of relevant professional experience in a related function, showing a pattern of progressive career growth and exceptional performance.
    • Experience in creative agency and/or marketing in the hospitality industry.
    • Strong knowledge of marketing technologies, trends, and innovations.
    • Effective communication skills with experience presenting to diverse audiences.



    • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to think strategically and align marketing activities with business objectives.
    • Project Management: Manages cross-functional teams and implements work and projects with efficiency.
    • Budget Management: Acts as a steward of annual marketing program budgets, ensuring timely execution and accurate tracking.
    • Communication: Communicates concepts clearly and persuasively, adapting communication style to different stakeholders.
    • Collaboration: Collaborates with internal partners and stakeholders to support business/initiative strategies.
    • Results-Oriented: Generates accurate and timely results, demonstrating an understanding of business priorities.
