    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    The Senior Manager, Revenue Management Analytics, plays a crucial role in the One Yield analytics project, designing and executing analyses to provide actionable insights. Collaborating with leaders, Revenue Management partners, and analytics teams, this role focuses on rooms inventory, pricing, segmentation, group bookings, and user system interactions. The Senior Manager supports pricing and mix analysis, addressing key components like Revenue Management system value, user system interaction accuracy, and retail pricing overrides. The position involves working with customers, managing project aspects, and conducting rigorous business and statistical analyses.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Design and execute analyses for the One Yield analytics project, emphasizing rooms inventory, pricing, segmentation, group bookings, and user system interactions.
    • Collaborate with leaders, Revenue Management partners, and analytics teams to support pricing and mix analysis.
    • Work with customers to understand their requirements and manage project aspects such as data sources and timelines.
    • Conduct rigorous business and statistical analyses independently, handling multiple complex projects with little supervision.
    • Provide measurement and analytical expertise to various projects with a defined scope.
    • Think creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new plans or programs, generating accurate and timely results.
    • Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of processes or programs.
    • Understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders, supporting achievement of performance goals, budget goals, and team goals.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in data analysis, financial analysis, revenue management analysis, or pricing strategies, with a 4-year degree from an accredited university in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a quantitative discipline OR
    • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in a related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
    • Advanced degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or quantitative discipline preferred.
    • Experience analyzing large data sets, developing and implementing effective project plans.
    • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience handling several complex projects with little supervision.
    • Strong data analysis skills, including querying and manipulation of large data sets, independently structuring analysis, synthesizing insights into visualizations, and applying knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis techniques.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.

     

    Competencies:

    • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, R, and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to manage a workload of multiple projects supporting several teams across Marriott.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
    • Familiarity with function-specific procedures.
    • Demonstrates the ability to stay up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to the job.

     

    Core Work Activities:

    • Develop and present analytical methods to measure effectiveness.
    • Stay up-to-date on developments in analytics and analytical tools/platforms.
    • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to support business/initiative strategies.
    • Communicate concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
    • Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

     

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Use problem-solving methodology for decision-making and follow-up.
    • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager.
