    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    As a Senior Technical Lead, you'll spearhead workgroups and serve as a technical expert, resolving complex service requests with limited to moderate risk. Your role involves designing and implementing innovative solutions to meet current and future user needs, leveraging leading-edge technologies. You'll provide leadership in delivering high-performance, scalable applications and ensuring successful project completion within time and budget constraints.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Provide technical leadership by mentoring team members and contributing to department/project budgets.
    • Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects.
    • Facilitate achievement of deliverables and obligations of service providers, ensuring completeness of requirements.
    • Coordinate with IT and vendor relations teams to ensure proper project coordination and consultation for systems development.
    • Follow IT governance standards and processes, providing input for improvements as needed.
    • Manage service providers by validating project plans, monitoring outcomes, and resolving service delivery problems promptly.
    • Ensure adherence to defined development and business case processes, minimizing operational risk.
    • Make short-term plans for effective resource utilization and validate estimates of work effort provided by service providers.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of software development experience with expertise in multiple programming languages and methodologies.
    • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design, JAVA applications, relational/NoSQL databases, XML, JavaScript, JSON, APIs, and microservices.
    • Experience with high-performance, high-availability Reservation systems and DevOps tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Dynatrace.
    • Familiarity with Play/Akka frameworks or Spring Boot and technology leadership in a sourced environment.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/certification.

     

    Preferred:

    • Graduate degree and technology certifications.
    • Experience in waterfall and/or agile software methodologies.
    • Knowledge of REST-based web services and ability to anticipate future software engineering opportunities.
    • Experience in analysis/development using COBOL and/or DB2 stored procedures.
