    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

    Duration: June 2024-May 2025

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create best-in-class digital experiences for both business and leisure travelers.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Produce wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity prototypes
    • Provide feedback and guidance to internal and external designers
    • Collaborate with the Director of User Experience and product management
    • Design user experiences for Marriott’s digital 'hotel ecosystem'
    • Apply Marriott design systems for patterns, components, and styles
    • Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality experiences
    • Present work supported by industry best practices and data
    • Stay updated on industry trends and apply new knowledge to projects

     

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of relevant experience in digital product design
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
    • Strong background in interaction design and visual design
    • Knowledge of usability and transactional design best practices
    • Experience with large-scale global digital products
    • Proven experience with user journeys, information architecture, and high-fidelity prototypes
    • Familiarity with branding and brand concepts

    • Champion of conversion techniques and user experience
    • Advocate of UX best practices from various disciplines
    • Strong visual communication skills
    • Leadership and influencing abilities
    • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

     

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience in the hospitality or travel industry
    • Expertise in Agile/SAFE development methodologies
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills

     

    Core Work Activities:

    • Create sketches, wireframes, personas, journey maps, and prototypes
    • Provide expertise on functional systems and Marriott’s hotel ecosystem
    • Use software like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
    • Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality experiences
    • Present work citing industry best practices and data
    • Collaborate with various user experience disciplines within the team

     

    Managing Work, Projects, and Policies:

    • Provide accurate time estimates for project plans
    • Meet deadlines and report impediments
    • Provide regular status updates to the manager
    • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously
    • Accept and provide constructive critique
    • Communicate effectively with teammates

     

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Work independently with minimal supervision
    • Develop relationships with other teams to facilitate collaboration
    • Present work clearly and confidently
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
