As a Senior Manager of User Experience Research, you'll spearhead research initiatives supporting large-scale loyalty programs. Collaborating closely with designers and product stakeholders, you'll drive research execution, continually advancing methodologies to create exceptional digital experiences for Marriott Bonvoy, one of the world's most renowned hospitality companies.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Conduct qualitative research to inform user-centered design decisions.
    • Design experiments, develop discussion guides, and lead recruiting efforts for user studies.
    • Analyze user behavior through various research methods including moderated and unmoderated studies, surveys, and web analytics.
    • Translate research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to integrate research insights into the design process.
    • Keep abreast of research methodology, design trends, and technological advancements.
    • Present research findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
    • Provide subject matter expertise on qualitative research methodologies and data triangulation.



    • 5+ years of relevant qualitative research experience plus 4 year undergraduate degree in relevant discipline
    • Demonstrated expertise in designing experiments, conducting qualitative research, and translating research to inform user-centered design decisions
    • Proven ability to collect and analyze user behavior through moderated and unmoderated research, surveys, benchmark studies, web analytics and customer feedback using online testing tools (e.g. User Testing, UserZoom, etc.)
    • Collaborative, highly-organized, and strong attention to detail
    • Stellar written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills



    • Exceptional qualitative research skills with the ability to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
    • Balancing user, business, and technical needs effectively.
    • Advocating for research and data-driven decision-making.
    • Leading with a user-centric mindset to drive impactful research.
    • Innovating solutions to user and business problems.
    • Proactively surfacing research insights to enhance user experiences.


    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
    • Previous experience managing other researchers or agency partners.
    • Familiarity with major digital products within the commerce or travel space.
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience conducting in-person research.
    • Comfort with ambiguity and a natural curiosity to seek answers.

    • Keeping up-to-date with research methodology, design trends, and technology.

    • Successfully managing multiple assignments.
    • Developing relationships with other teams and leveraging those relationships to answer questions.
    • Presenting work with clarity and confidence.
