    Position type: Full-Time


    Lead the development and standardization of microservice architecture within the Guest Communications domain, focusing on DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven architecture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and support the implementation of new technologies.


    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Manage the Guest Communications work backlog and support software development activities.
    • Conduct code reviews and paired coding sessions to ensure quality and collaboration.
    • Define and implement standard development practices for event-driven architecture, including DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, and monitoring.
    • Monitor project alignment with defined use case processes and drive timely issue resolution.
    • Provide proactive communication to stakeholders regarding service delivery issues and development goals.
    • Promote and utilize standards and patterns in application development.
    • Contribute to talent acquisition and support talent development within the engineering team.
    • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new applications and microservices.
    • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Network teams to develop and execute application-level architecture leveraging cloud-native, open-source, and SaaS solutions.



    • 3+ years of microservice-based systems development, preferably in an Event-Driven architecture, with a minimum of 4 years in a senior engineering role.
    • 8 years of recent experience in developing and leveraging current and emerging technologies across IT platforms.
    • 4+ years of experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
    • Experience working across multiple business disciplines and IT.
    • Experience establishing and facilitating the evaluation, selection, and introduction of technology and software development strategies.
    • Experience in modern development practices and methodologies, and industry shifts in application architecture.
    • Undergraduate/graduate degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or equivalent experience.
    • Demonstrated success supporting medium- to large-scale initiatives/transformations across enterprise platforms.
    • Proven experience in IT development across waterfall and agile environments.
    • Experience with IT outsourcing activities in a managed services environment.
    • Experience with cloud-native services, open-source technologies, and SaaS platforms.
    • Experience with Node.js, React, Java, Kafka.
    • Experience with modern purpose-built storages, SQL Databases, and NoSQL Databases.
    • Designing and building for performance, scalability, and reliability of high-traffic customer-facing digital platforms.
    • Experience leveraging microservices development patterns and principles.
    • Experience working with Enterprise APIs and API management platforms like Akana.
    • Working in a Product-based model and building strong partnerships with Product owners by providing innovative technology solutions to complex business problems.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms.
