    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    As a pivotal member of the Disaster Recovery Program, specializing in Applications & Infrastructure Delivery, you will offer subject matter expertise, support strategic initiatives, and ensure the successful oversight and delivery of projects aligned with Marriott’s Disaster Recovery objectives.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Act as a functional expert, providing subject matter expertise and engaging in strategic initiatives.
    • Perform comprehensive business analyses to develop and refine processes that strengthen Risk Management Controls.
    • Support the Reporting and Tracking mechanisms of the program, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information.
    • Assist the Senior Project Manager in overseeing and delivering projects aligned with Disaster Recovery objectives.
    • Engage in planning and coordinating enterprise-level activities related to infrastructure technology and business programs.
    • Ensure project milestones align with overarching business objectives.
    • Facilitate effective communication across technical and business domains, ensuring a unified understanding of project objectives, progress, risks, and financial implications.
    • Report directly to the Director of Disaster Recovery, providing insights and updates on project statuses and strategic developments.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience/certifications.
    • 4+ years’ experience in business continuity/disaster recovery for a large corporation with a complex technology environment.
    • 2+ years’ experience in information infrastructure technology process and/or project management across diverse areas and technologies.
    • 2+ years of Agile experience using Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
    • 1+ years working with tools such as Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite and applications.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

     

    Competencies:

    • Experience in applying measurement processes/methods for assessing DR effectiveness outputs and outcomes or progress toward goals and objectives.
    • 2+ years managing enterprise-level infrastructure projects.
    • PMP, SAFe, Agile, and ITIL v4 Certifications.
    • CBCP Certification.
    • Broad technical acumen across multiple technical disciplines (Server, Middleware, Networks etc.).
    • Thorough knowledge of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies.
    • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and lead change.
    • High level of interpersonal skills.
    • Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior management.
