    JOB SUMMARY

    NOTE:  This is a FLEX Associate Engagement  

    Position type: Full-Time

     

    As a Senior Network Security Engineer at Marriott International, you'll lead the research, design, implementation, and support of network security solutions in a global enterprise environment. You'll ensure system design, standards-based implementation, and technical support across on-premises and public cloud infrastructures.

     

    Role Responsibilities/Duties:

    • Develop network security requirements and success criteria through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Lead the development of Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) policies aligned with business and security needs.
    • Perform daily support operations within 24/7 schedules, ensuring the operation, performance, and availability of IPS.
    • Design and implement TLS inspection policies and conduct Splunk and Data lake log analysis for security monitoring.
    • Collaborate with global teams to drive IPS process improvements and documentation.
    • Provide full life-cycle support for critical network security technology, from ideation to retirement.
    • Represent the Security Engineering team in stakeholder meetings to drive risk remediation and endorse preventative solutions.
    • Create and implement an operational security program for IPS solutions.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience/certification.
    • 7+ years of IT experience, with 4+ years focused on network security.
    • Experience in Intrusion Prevention Systems, vulnerability management, identity/access management, or security logging and monitoring.
    • Proficiency in networking concepts including TCP/IP, switching, routing, firewalls, Load balancer, and VLANs.
    • Certification in information security (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CCNA, PCNSE) preferred.
    • Familiarity with security frameworks such as CSA, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS.
    • Strong understanding of security technologies like Log Management, TLS inspection, URL filtering, DNS security.
    • Experience with IEEE standards 802.3, 802.11, and 802.15.
    • Knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
